Holly Bank is a very small home, only taking twelve residents at any one time. For this reason we don’t have dedicated kitchen staff working 24/7, and it’s our carers who make tea, toast, and other snacks for residents and visitors in the evenings. For this reason we need to make sure that our staff are properly trained in food hygiene. In addition to both in-person and online courses, we wanted to create a resource that we could use to supplement our training in this area in order to better support our staff and keep everybody at Holly Bank safe.
This is the perfect tool to use as part of your induction for new starters, or once every few months as refresher training for your more experienced staff. It includes food hygiene facts, tips, prompts for discussion and more.
